Sorry for the confusion, yes these photos are of my droid (with the periscope) and the event was for the international media (on Oct 6th), most likely anything you saw on the Cartoon Network as far as specials featuring an Artoo is the ILM droid and recorded back in September sometime.

But if you’ve seen an Artoo with a periscope on TV related to the new show then please let me know where and when – I’d love to grab the footage.

The R2 on the US preview show was the ILM R2 and Don was the operator.

This event was for the international media, Don couldn’t make it so I filled in

I was watching / Recording the preview show and was wondering Who got the sweet deal of getting their R2 used in the show as I Knew it looked better than the real ILM R2

Congrats on finally getting to the Ranch, I don’t feel so bad that you couldn’t come to the Staff Picnic last year – but to be honest your trip looked a whole lot more interesting!
